Initial Acupuncture Session
In this first appointment together, Erin will do an in depth initial consultation to get a clear picture of your individual needs. This will include a complete medical history, mental/emotional history, and what you are looking to accomplish through acupuncture. As with each treatment, this appointment will include TCM diagnostic methods such as palpation, and both tongue and pulse observation. Your first treatment could include cupping, gua sha, tui na (TCM massage), along with acupuncture, and will be determined based on what best suits your needs.
Initial Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture
Starting with a facial assessment, Erin will make note of the elemental face type, as well as the specific areas you are wanting to give attention to. After a face wash, an organic herbal mask will be applied, and allowed to rest while a constitutional full body acupuncture treatment is completed. Facial needles will be applied to target areas, followed by an herbal face oil and toner. Gua Sha and Jade rollers will end the treatment, along with a light facial massage and grounding technique.
Subsequent Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture
Continuing with the initial treatment plan, the facial acupuncture protocol will be repeated allowing the body to release emotions held in the body leading to fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin, and dull complexion. A series of 10 treatments is encouraged to achieve best results, and a discount is offered for those wishing to complete a full course of 10 treatments.
Cupping Session
Fire cupping can be offered independently from acupuncture treatments if patient is apprehensive about needles or simply wants the benefits of cupping alone. Treatments last 30 minutes, with oils being applied to the skin before fire cups are applied to the back directly. This treatment can help with back and/or neck pain, stiffness, and stress.
Please Note: redness and slight bruising is normal after treatment, and an indication of the cups doing their job. The superficial bruising can last anywhere from a few days to a week.
